BMW Expects Record 2011 Sales

In the race of the superiority among the luxury car makers in India, BMW has pushed behind the giants like Audi and Mercedes-Benz in 2010. This could be achieved with sales of 6246 units in that year making a rise of 73% while holding 40% share in the segment which has the potential of 15000 annual units. For BMW India is the third potential market for its growth after China which has 80% growth rate. India and Korea has the equal level of growth possibilities, said BMW’s India President. He added that the company’s net sales volume in India stood at 4200 units in 2010, which proved to be an exceptional year and difficult to repeat in coming years.
